1930's stock suspension with a V8/auto

Thinking of buying a 30's vehicle, small block auto but it has the stock suspension and rear end, although I wouldn't be slinging it around or traveling more than a 100 miles from home base, I'm wondering how it would handle/drive/ride?
I can't drive or take a look at it because it's to far away, it would be a blind purchase, any advice/thoughts?
 
don't see any problem except for the most important thing being the brakes. I'm in the process of doing a 50 Studebaker truck with a 4.3 V6 automatic using 68 Camaro rear and a conversion front disc bolts onto OEM spindles will have OEM leaf springs and front straight axle want to keep up with traffic and stop

It does have stock brakes, but a dual pot power brake booster.

Well, a lot more details needed to form an opinion but one thing jumps to mind. This car is 91 years old. If it does have the stock suspension, that car probably came with a 50hp 6 cylinder engine and the suspension is probably not up to a 250-300hp smallblock. Any pics??
