The only other dash and IP I know of is the Rallye dash that came in the 340 cars and all A-Body Barracuda.

It had a much longer IP opening that the one above:

If you posted your actual IP, then the Classic Industries insert will fit the opening.

I agree with you in that via limited visual analysis and comparison, the Classic Industries assembly should fit as it appears that the mounting holes and steering column notch details are all the same. But then again, the Classic Industries representative provided very distinct dialogue stating that there were in fact three (3) different configurations, and that what they offer is a replacement for item (a) below only:
(a) A Limited Production Late '70 to Early '71 SQUARE Speedometer
(b) The Common RECTANGULAR Speedometer (which is what I have (in original post) and what was the replacement for the SQUARE)
(c) The Rallye

I will bring this up to my restoration guy during our next sit down, and if I decide to give a shot anyway I will definitely let the forum community know what the outcome is.
