Looks like a crack. does liquid seep into it?

What does your fingernail say it is?
 
It's for sale I only have the picture looks more like a crack than a casting mark
 
They crack often in that spot, I have had several bellhousings that cracked there...
 
My vote is crack.

Is seller saying it is casting slag?
 
I've decided to go at brand new 1.

I'm not always safety 1st, or I wouldn't get out of bed

But when it comes to taking my legs off I'd rather be safer on this one
 
I may be mistaken but it just seemed a little weird.

Norm's Speed Shop ....tell him $45 ...needs repair..overpriced on all his parts

I would be just as leary about this dude and the "recommendation" dude.
 
If he asks for clear proof of payment when done, that sounds fishy as it will give him an email when he has money. Tell him to put it on Ebay with a set price and a link to the page and youll buy it that way, there is protection there.
