Strip Dominator - Spread bore weld up

I would like some more carb but it was a 650 proform I had and had upgraded the main body to bring it to 800.

If you started with a 4777, or another smaller carb that has the emulsion tubes pressed into the main wells of the primary metering block, then there is probably some room to improve the carb a bit with a swap to a different metering block that doesn’t have the emulsion tubes.

Is easy to tell if they have the tubes, because the main wells will be capped nearly flush, instead of having the normal “cup” installed.

I didn’t suggest a spacer. I suggested an antireversion plate. They are not the same.
I didn’t.
Sure ya did! You quoted me and made a direct reply to what I said about in defense of what you were saying.

Dang dude! Really? Carrying on….

Good mention on there not the same so those who don’t know get tipped off.
In my at the track testing the antireversion plates almost always went quicker and I never had one slow down. But the manifold has to be opened up to make sure it doesn’t cover any of the groove around the outside. If you don’t open up the plenum to uncover that groove it will go slower. I have no idea of the science behind it, I just know they work.
And sometimes that’s all it takes. Did it work? Yea? Excellent!
It didn’t work? Next!!!!!

You wouldn’t happen to have a picture of your set up handy would you? AKA Showing the other plenum and reversion plate? That would be a helpful picture for the OE poster.

I’ll see if I can get a picture of a Pontiac manifold that I know is getting a MF 5006. I don’t know if he’s done with it yet. It is interesting in that the carb pan on that manifold has the same shape as the strip dominator.
