OK, not to beat this horse to death, but I'm not sure why you would need to go through Georgia at all. Unless - and this just occurred to me - you plan to register the car in Georgia?? I guess I overlooked that you are located in Georgia and Florida.

No not registering it in Ga. I bought a 1969 C-10 truck from Ga. about 5 years ago. Fl. required this verification form signed by a Ga. officer plus a bill of sale plus a tag registration showing the guy who's name was on the Bill of Sale had the right to sell it to me. Then I got a Fl title.
