Any of you racers used one of the 2000 watt portable generators
And those little Honda's are whisper quiet. 2000 watts @ 115v is 17+ amps output. 3000 is 26 amps.
All inverter generators are really quiet, what I was pointing out earlier in this thread is that under a significant load, let's say air conditioning, the 2,000 watt model will rev up significantly. Not so quiet now. The Yamaha 2400,3000 or the Honda 3,000 watt models
Will not because the engine is much larger, they can generate a significant load on Eco mode, the 2,000 watt cannot.
That jegs model has an 80cc engine. It's less than half the size
Of a 3,000 watt model and under load will not be so quiet.
Depends what you want it for. I converted my Yamaha 2400 to propane, now it does not even smell.
