Well another FML moment

I bought a " restored " grille for a '68 Dodge Dart GTS off of a member here a couple weeks ago and received it yesterday.......well ofcourse the little grill sections are broken on it all across the top, not sure if the drooling gorillas in the shipping industry did it or it was already liked that. Secondly when i consider something restored I am thinking it is restored back to the way it came from the factory and not whatever color or texture or lack thereof of paint quality.......has smooth silver paint instead of a textured feel argent, the black paint is not crisp and it just was put on all willy nilly like maybe Ray Charles did it. I really should not be surprised because in general people dissapoint and in all honesty I think most people either wouldn't care or are too stupid to notice that the grille is a huge POS!!!!!
Never expect a perfect restored grille for $300. In my opinion, your best bet is to buy used as cheap as possible, then send it to someone who restores grilles. That way the job gets done right, and if you're not happy with the restoration, have them correct any flaws you see before payment.
