why are they a 1/2" shorter than stock wondering because I'm interested in them

why are they a half inch shorter than stock wondering because I'm interested in them
Ther were made for use with Mopar Performance oval track springs, these had a 1/2" longer front spring segment. The brackets made up for this variance. All it will do with a stock length spring is move the axle ahead 1/2". Look up AR engineering 118 spring hangers. Mine are mint as the springs I got twice from Mopar were defective.
