I have a 65 barracuda and im putting a chrysler 360 init . I have no clearance on headers to put the pipes coming off of it and whaich part is the parts I need to get that specific motor in and measurments or diagrams and any iformation is appreciated begginer car builder. Im in north carolina I am going to be a only shop mechanic doing restorations on classic cars . im very grateful for any and all info

Been a car guy since birth and i know my basic ways around a car and the motor jist never had to fabricate and install mounts do not want to place it in the wrong spot and throw all my ballance off .

Schumacher made headers that fit in but they closed, look around they are out there. Same with the motor mounts. You also will need a V8 centerllink. Hope it helps.

ANother quirk, The 360's are externally balanced (unless yours has been rebuilt and internally balanced) If external, the engine will need the 360 specific balancer and a special flex plate for the torque converter to keep the external balance correct. Like Hoppy mentioned above, you will need conversion mounts or modify the stock mounts.
 
I think I see a manual steering gear.

If you are keeping that you could try Dakota/Ram/Jeep "Magnum" manifolds.

Even the "small" outlet versions should flow better than stock 273/318/360 manifolds.

...and they sound good, too.
 
Make sure you have clearance oil pan steering linkage. Had to use 273 oil pan on my 64 cuda 318 swap
 
If your car came with a 273 from the factory, it will have a V8 center link. If you still have the 273 motor mounts, you may need to weld a triangle shaped piece to the driver side mount to get it to bolt up to the later 360 block. If you do a search, there are pics on the site somewhere, that shows how to do it. That drivers side manifold in your pics ain't gonna fit when you get the motor down to where it needs to sit. If your 360 is a stock motor, the Early A V8 manifolds will work fine. If it's hopped up, you can get a set of Dougs D450 headers, or PM @ChrisRomello about the Sandersons in the pic above.
