So I came across the Davies Craig EWP series of remote electric water pump and pump/fan controller combinations. It's a pretty slick setup that allows you to control fan and pump operation, cool engine when it's off etc. EWP150 Alloy & LCD Controller Combo (12V) - PART No: 8870-1

It's expensive but I decided to take the plunge. At first I wasn't sure how I was going to plumb it all up because there's no off the shelf adapter for sb Mopar (of course :-\ ) but no surprise there. I was looking at doing something with a plate and some AN hardware but-16 fittings and hose are very pricey. Then it dawned on me I have a spare old aluminum water pump I could mod and just connect to the EWP inline with regular radiator hose.

So I took the pump to work today and had it pressed apart, then cut the snout down.

The plan tomorrow is to fab a little aluminum plate cover for the hole. Then I'll have a ready made adapter to connect the water pump to. I'll keep this updated as it progresses. I hope to have this running this weekend.

Davies/Craig stuff was made here, still is as far as I know. They mainly cater for smaller engines.
If the pump in question goes in the bottom rad hose, expect overheating.
I took one out of a V8 car that was o'heating & it fixed the problem.

This is a pump supposedly rated for larger V8 engines. If it overheats it'll get returned for sure.

I have the little aluminum plate made up. I'll have it welded on tomorrow.
