65 Dart GT 904 Transmission how to remove Speedo cable adapter

Is it just me or that does not look like a 904 speedometer adapter?
This is early A stuff. It's different.

To @WhoDarted, it appears someone has glued it in with RTV. First though, unless you want a MESS, you need to do one of two things. Get a drain pan and drain the fluid by removing the pan, OR jack the rear of the car up HIGH and put it on jack stands. If you choose the latter, you're still going to lose some fluid, so get a pan and put it under the speedometer cable.

What I recommend is getting two regular screwdrivers, one on each side or the speedometer adapter and pry it out gently. With the bolt and bracket off, all that's holding it in is the o-ring and what appears to be RTV. Just pry back and forth with the two screwdrivers and it'll let go. But be prepared to lose some fluid.

Now would be a great time to do a fluid and filter change if it might need it. That way you won't get fluid out of the speedometer adapter hole, but it's totally up to you.
