I guess it would depend on what the trouble was.... To be honest I wish him the best of luck with his cars just like I do for everyone else. If he gets his numbers then great, if he doesn't then oh well.
For an event billed as the ‘Slant Six Nationals’:
1) have your stuff ready,
2) bring spares in case something breaks,
3) at least make an attempt to fix it by working on it at the track.
