I ain't a Ford man however...........

We used to attend an all makes cruise in in Macon many years ago when I had my 65 Valiant with the hot 360. Had it at the local traditional family run barbeque joint, Finchers. BIG cruise in. Always several hundred cars. There was this one older gentleman, he actually OWNED the city of Tombsboro, Georgia. Now, I actually have a friend who owns it.....but that's another story. Anyway, the guy who used to own the town, always brought his car to the cruise in on a trailer. I think Tombsboro is on the order of 100 or so miles from Macon. Anyway, his car just happened to be an all numbers matching original 1963 Ford Galaxie Lightweight R Code with the 427 High Riser engine. He'd trailer down the street about a half mile, unload it and DRIVE it down the street. Now, if you know a THING about these cars, then you know how damned badass that was. It was an awesome spectacle. You could FEEL the car turn in the parkin lot. It was one bad beeotch.
