Dragweek 2021

Saw you make some passes today on the live feed. The car looks awesome

@Walker434 are you trying to stay consistent and go for a class finish? Are you gonna crank it up and run a hail marry pass at the end of the week?
I’m just shooting for a low 10 Second average this week. That will get me in the top 32 of my class so I will make the bracket race on Friday. Being very consistent will help my dial in

Nice job boys! The wounded black Camaro is a close friend of mine. Owns a body shop local to me.

Hey guys,

Finally getting caught up from being gone so long. Thought I'd give an update. What an awesome week! This is the Dart's 4th year of finishing drag week! It is truly a brutal test. Overall the car ran great with few problems. Had to swap out a fuel pump but other than that the car ran great.

My average for the week was 10.15 which gave me a 10.05 dial for the bracket race on Friday. I could not have set myself up better. 1st round, car did it's job but the driver did not. I was too excited and red lite.

Oh well we had a blast. There is nothing like spending 7 days with true car people. Not only car people but drag racing people. There is no other event that compares to this one in my opinion. If you ever get a chance go out and do it. Below are a few pictures from the week.

Watched all week wishing I was there. Congratulations on your 4th finish. That’s a big accomplishment. Well done.

very cool, congratulations! I wish i could do that one day with my valiant. You carry everything you need in the car?

Michael

Very nice! Followed on the live stream for the first time, most I've felt like I was part of it, but far from be there. Watched for your car every day, only missed it when they had the bad internet feed on Thursday.

Got me all amped up to try it. Fun to dream.

Nice! This is on my list of things to do in a few years, once I get more kids out of school, lol.

Yes, my trunk and back seat were completely full of spare parts and tools. Some people pull trailers but I don't have to since I run the same wheels and tires on the track and street. I only carry spare parts I don't feel you would find at the parts store. So, no spare alternator, starter, water pump, ect.

Very nice, great job.
What rear tire do you run?

Starts in Martin, Michigan this year. Anybody else going? I was signed up for 2020 so when it got canceled I got to early register for 2021.

Been busy getting the Dart all tuned up and ready. Freshened up the Cope built 904 now its just down to tuning. Going to a test and tune in Bowling Green, KY on 8/17/21 to get the last of the bugs worked out.

I'll be in the Street Machine Eliminator class. Hoping to average in the real low 10s.

Here are some pics of getting it ready and a picture a couple from Dragweek 2019.

That car is badass, I wish the guy before me didn't try doing bodywork and priming 1 side. I have a 70 that's f4 green, which I'm trying desperately to finish for next season.
Not for drag week that's always to far away
