Being 'Old School' makes it difficult to hold my tongue at times...

I spend nearly a decade in production, running brake presses and such

One thing that drove me crazy was the "rate guys"
They would ask what the rate was for a machine (how many pieces it should produce per hour) them times that by 8 and get that number punched out shortly after lunch...only to spend the rest of the day doing nothing

A few times when that happened I went over and ran that machine for a few days straight...after which they always bumped the daily rate up
Must not have been a union shop.
