i'd sell the 340 to a numbers matching guy who 'needs' it and use the cash to add a 390 stroker kit to the 318. you can upgrade the heads later as that's an 'in situ' job. the stroker kit will give a bigger bang for the buck than the 340, it's just a simple matter of inches (which give torque). 22 extra or 70 plus, i know what i'd do.
