Well I did a thing today... it's a 2019 Ram 1500 Laramine Longhorn with 50k miles. It's super nice with all the bells and whistles. It actually was one of the cheaper used trucks in Springfield that was a couple years old and had some options. There were trucks with less options going for more. Air suspension gives it a built in 2in lift when it's in offroad mode 2. It has electric side steps already installed and a taneau cover with this built in motor holder sliding rack... 2 other guys walked in to buy the truck as I was on my way back to the dealer after submitting my load app and while I was signing the paperwork.
I was going to get my wife's grandpa's but he decided he wanted to keep it for a while longer. They are still shipping it out here and it will be kept at our because they are moving here, once they move they will take it to their house. We don't know why they want to keep it but they do, kind of a good thing though. I know repairs are cheaper than a car payment, kind of, if the truck broke down I'd have to pay for repairs and a rental car while it was being fixed. The 6.4 diesel is expensive to fix so a 10-20k fix could be 1/2 of my new truck lol.
Here she is, and the family loves it. We got one this week because my oil guage in the dart was going crazy this week. While driving it this week the car would kind of act like it wasn't getting adequate fuel and the oil guage was bouncing 40-60psi, just up and down as the car was acting like it wasn't getting enough fuel. I was told "put more oil in it, as it sounds like it's sucking air." I did that and it felt better, but I need to stop pushing my luck with the car.

Very nice truck! Congrats. The one and only thing I don't like about the newer Dodge trucks, is the twist knob shifter. We have some new Dodges at work, and I drove one as a relief truck while my truck was getting serviced. The shifter drove me nuts while I had it! I guess it's too many years of reaching behind the right side of the steering wheel and grabbing a shift lever.....lol.
Yea I forgot about the hockey puck shifter the first couple times I got in. I actually drove the gmc at4 today as well, I love the look of the truck but the interior definitely needs updated. It looks and feels old... the trucks interior is far superior, imo but the look of the gmc is perfect.
My plans for this are a Ram rebel hood, exhaust, 5in lift and 35s or 37s.. oh and I need to black out all the chrome on it. Lol
Thanks! The family loves it, and I really enjoyed driving it home. 18.5mpg city driving, was over 20 mpg on the highway.
Yea really the extras were some of the big selling points. This thing has tons of extras and was priced the same as the trucks that didn't really have any extras.

They are getting huge! Crazy how fast they grow. Ruby has been a big time diva and has the attitude and hormones of a freaking teenager.

another one that's like driving a pinball machine? i just spent most of a week driving a new Yukon. drove great, very comfortable, but too many flashing blinging things
Newest vehicle I ever owned (well, latest model year) is our 1995 Jeep GC. I'm having a tough time following the 'bouncing ball' regarding these newer vehicle quirks. I too looked for a shifter in the Dodge truck pics before seeing that knob in the general area of the PRNDL display. Between scary prices and scary electronics (and I engineer electronic controls for a living), I'll stick with my older stuff, thank you.

Don't black out anything on it. That shiny black truck needs every inch of chrome it has on it....it's perfect! Oh, and the slide out drawer thingy in the bed will come in real handy in a few years when your little girl has a new boyfriend. Just take him out in the garage, open the tailgate, pull the drawer out, tell him to lay down on the drawer, slide him in the bed and slam the tailgate. While he's inside, scared shitless...just say "That's what happens when they put you in the morgue. Keep your grubby little hands off my daughter! Understand?"

Oh I'm getting stuff for that too! Parts are hard to get right now, so I've been told. My plan is to still buy the heads on black Friday and then little by little as I find it.
My truck definitely has a lot of flashy things in it. I still don't know how it all works. Let me tell you, the air conditioning seats are amazing. My wife likes them too, it made her say a couple dirty phrases when she felt it
I hate the prices and am scared of the electronic gizmos as well. Which is why I paid for an extended bumper to bumper warranty. Costs 2800 bucks and got me 6yr/60k miles and covers everything except for like 19 things on truck which are considered wear items e.g. windshield wipers, brake pads, tires etc. All the electronics are covered thank heaven.

Well the truck is black, 20 bucks and I can buy some mopar paint match paint and paint some of the chrome. I'm not a huge chrome guy.
That story of the cargo bed made me seriously LOL. I even read it to my wife and she got a nice chuckle out of it.
Speaking of cargo bed, this cargo rack was 1500 bucks! Holy money, that's. Lot of bread for a shelf in a bed.
My daughter's and I went exploring for 1.5hrs yesterday, they loved it! Even went on a dirt road lol.

On the shifters, I hate the twist knob thing, I also have a 17 ram that has the normal lever, I like it alot more.
Damn that is a short bed on that truck, I could not deal with that, a truck should at least have a 6 ft bed on it.
