Back-up (reverse) Lights Heads-up for Early A's (FYI)

With only a partially assembled wiring harness, I failed to find the reason for the reverse lights not working on a '65 Formula S Barracuda. After consulting the wiring diagram, I found the power source for the reverse lights is a white wire that comes from the wiper motor switch/harness. With the wiper switch wires installed, the reverse lights now are operating. This, of course, is with the floor mounted automatic shifter and corresponding console.

While I was at it, I found the dash lights would not work. I found an internal short in the headlamp switch. I swapped in another switch from a parts car and the dash lights worked. Now I find with the headlight dash light dimmer turned all the way counter clockwise (to operate dome/courtesy lights with doors still closed) the dash lights go out. Still looking for that problem. I guess it could be the headlight switch from the parts car has an internal short (of a different kind) as well. Still looking for that solution.
