Her name is Emma. She is 17 years young and today she took her last ride in my truck. We've had her since she was a football sized ball of black fur and I am heartbroken today:-(

I feel for you, these four legged family members tug at our hart stings , I know.
Thank you for giving her a great home for many good years, my condolences.

Rainbow ridge got another member.

Buddy was 14 almost, he was with me since he was 8 weeks...

So sorry for your loss. Losing a loyal family member is something you never get over. Rest in Peace Emma.

My condolences. It is SO difficult to lose your pet like that. I really struggled when I had to put mine down at 14-1/2 a few years ago. One day at a time - you will EVENTUALLY see through it. But I know it does not feel like it today.

Sorry for your loss, 17 years is a good long life, all of the wonderful memories of the times you shared will keep you strong through this difficult time. She will be waiting for you on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge.
I still miss all of the great furry family members I have been blessed to have in my life and continue to. They are so full of love and bring us so much joy.

Very sorry for your loss. I feel your pain. They are God's creatures and man's best friends. I'm heartbroken reading your post and seeing Emma's picture. She'll be waiting at the Rainbow Bridge for you.

Praying for you. It's never easy. I think I have a harder time with animals passing than most humans.

So sorry for your loss.

Had to say goodbye to Hemi Beagle in May of this year after 17 years together. Still miss her but we did pick up a pound puppy that is our current project. He’s coming around but seems to have been abused a bit in the past. Seemed to respond to Benji so that’s what we named him.

Sorry for your Loss!

I hate the feeling, Folks here will help the passing!

They did for me and the lost Buddies!

I'm so sorry !
I hope you can find comfort.
I truly like animals better than most people.
They are truly a blessing !
So hard to say goodbye.
Hang in there.

My heartfelt condolences for you loss. We have always had miniature Dachshunds. We are on numbers 6 and 7 now. Of the prior 5, we had to take 4 of them in to the vet at the end. I cried like a baby each time. Our current two wiener dogs (Hermione and Luna) are so special to us. They are both 10. Luna is daddy's girl She wants to be with me 24/7. She LOVES going to Lowes with me and riding around in the cart. Sometimes I think that after they are gone, we won't get another dog. But then I realize that the pain of losing such a special friend is worth the amazing and unconditional love we get from them. When we attach ourselves to 'friends' with shorter lives than us, we must understand that each day with them is a gift from God. Think about it, dog spelled backwards is God. You will never forget Emma, and a new dog will never take her place, but just like kids, all dogs have their own personality. You will find a new friend who will heal the pain in your heart. Again, my heartfelt condolences for you loss.

17 years young! You did a great job! I dont think animals stick around that long without a fantastic home. RIP Emma. You had a good run. It is truly the toughest day though.....ever.
