Planning ahead for my 66 dart...318 w/ 340 hp manifolds.
Thx

Single exhaust. How warm is your 318? If it's pretty mild, they actually will respond better to a well thought out HP single exhaust.
It's true. Small cube V8s and inlines benefit greatly from a good flowing HP single exhaust.
My suggestion would be to come off the manifolds with as big a pipe as they can stand....that's usually 2.25-2.5 depending on "how good" your exhaust shop is and into one of those badass Flowmaster scavenging wyes, then into a 3" single and a good flowing muffler like a Dynomax Ultra.I can't say that it would enhance performance much but I wouldn't go any larger than 2 and 1/4 on dual pipes.
What heads? 340 exhaust manifold against stock 318 exhaust ports, don't seal well. Those manifolds in a 66 and older engine compartment are a bit of chore to getting things to fit also.Planning ahead for my 66 dart...318 w/ 340 hp manifolds.

In that case, put the best dual exhaust system on it you can afford. I had a feeling that might be the case. TTI makes a good product.Thx all. 318 is a placeholder for a built 340 which I have.
I liked the tti product but i need to check with them to see if it clears real swaybar (firm feel)
I’m getting ready to install mine

I have an Adco rear sway bar on my 65 Barracuda. TTI 2.5 inch pipes clear that one. Obviously, have no idea about the Firm Feel bar.
What manifolds are you running i called and they said they only make systems to line up to the stock logs.
