I recently purchased a bell housing for a small block at Carlisle. Unfortunately it has been modified. It appears to have been opened up and the throw out bearing fork has been relocated. The transmission input bearing retainer hole has been opened up to 5 inches. Asking $125.00 + Shipping Or I would be happy to trade for an unmodified bell housing for a 340 / 360 LA motor. I believe that someone modified this part to accept a overdrive transmission.

Someone modified that for use with the A833 over drive four speed. Shouldn't be hard at all to sell. I totally stand behind how they relocated the clutch fork bracket, too. They did it the right way, IMO. It's probably a good piece.
 
Just a thought. If it doesn't sell you should be able to have a sleeve machined to fit that bore to the A833 bearing cover O.D.

That’s a good deal, O/D ones are very hard to find and this is a common mod to do

Someone will find out quickly once they go to mate the trans. Theres offset locators worst case ...or aluminum recycling yards all over the place. Lol
