I have used aeromotive fuel pumps in various projects now for about 10 years and have never had a single fuel pump related failure, until last night. Driving my dually home from work, went to pass a semi and the engine blubbered. Looked at the wideband and saw 17:1. Not good when the turbo is spooled up. Let off, engine still ran but wouldn’t accelerate. Drive off the freeway into a gas station (luckily I was right at an off ramp at the time) shut it off and filled it with fuel thinking it may be low. (Chevy gas gauges are not know for their accuracy) Engine would not restart. Out comes the voltmeter and everything checks out good. 12.2 to the pump. ****.
Now, owning a Chevy comes with some quirks, in the first 100k miles I put 4 factory pumps in this truck. They suck ***. I got very tired of dropping the tank on the side of the road or pulling the bed to get to the pump. So this happened...

10 minutes and I could swap a pump. Comes in very handy. When I put the turbo on this truck at 230k miles, I upgraded the fuel system with all aeromotive stuff. Namely their drop in 340 pump (and later on 2 of them) and last night one of them failed. This is not a bash on aeromotive, in fact I’d like to say thank you to them and continue to endorse their products. My truck now has 568,172 miles and I haven’t touched these pumps since I installed them. Just a quick story. Thanks Aeromotive for a great product.

I wish I could say the same thing. I had a brand new pump fail before it even got started. Looked like a friday at quitting time assembly. Brushes all jacked and installed wrong. Sent pictures and got no help. Haven't given them a cent of my money since. Yarded it out and on the shelf for another brand. I do believe in their product. I just got a little butt hurt over this expensive *** pump but I will probably get over it. For now, I'll keep the wound salted.

i had a aeromotive fuel pump fail but it was on a dead head system so i'm sure this shortened it's life considerably . but i think there regulators and bypass regulators are of the highest quality .

I can only speak to my experience and it has been wonderful. I do know Aeromotive says most pump failures are due to improper installation (not saying yours were) and also I know the market is flooded with Chinese copies (again not saying yours were). So buy from a reputable dealer and follow aeromotives instructions on installation and I’d bet you’d have the same success I’ve had.

Where did you get that column cover with a gauge mount ?

Aeromotive just straight up sent me a new 11203 SS series pump when my 6/2006 pump started leaking. Sent it in for reseal and evaluation. They sent me a new one no charge. Great customer service me!
