So what is the earliest concert you can remember going to

-
Crosby,Stills,Nash and young 1972 or 74, it was a long time ago. And I saw all that other stuff y’all posting as firsts as well.
CSN? I would never go to one of their? And you might as well top it off with Neil Young. Like Was said “ I hope Neil Young will remember, a southern man don’t need him around any how”

whatever floats your boat doooooooode.
Saw Skynrd a few times, once with Ed King. Good show, played 3 hrs straight. Those boy definitely know how to earn their money. so does Zappa.

But 4 concerts stick out in my mind.

Elvin Bishop opening for Marshall Tucker, upstate NewYork 74ish. Stole the show.

Charlie Danials Milwaukee winter fest early 80’s. Played 5 hon core’s, damn near sawed that fiddle in half.

Stevie Ray Vaughan state fairpark/Milwaukee mile like 86? Smoked em all. Matter of fact saw his farewell concert at Alpine Valley as well.

Tom Petty at the marcus amphitheater Milwaukee around 89. He Posted on his website, King of Milwaukee, and he was. Also saw him in 79 just before he went national and became known. That was a trip.

Blue Oyster Cult, 1976, Lakeland,Fl
Hit song, " Don't Fear the Reaper"

The best was "The Who in 82 " tour.
Orlando Stadium

For me it was Jethro Tull in 1978 (Busting Out Tour) at the SIU Carbondale Basketball Arena. UK opened for them and both groups were fantastic. Sat in the nosebleed section and it was pretty easy to get a contact high sitting up there.

I think I saw them on that tour. Didn't they have four or five 8 foot balloons they bounced out into the audience?

Skynyrds my all time favorite.
I just saw the newest documentary on Netflix, very good!
Free Bird and Saturday Night Special, 1 aI'mnd 1A.
I grew up in Jax fl in the 70s in Westside. I the 80s id sit by Ronnie, Steve, and Cassie on a marble bench that was from Charlie Daniels and play guitar. Inscribed on the bench was a quote from
" million mile reflections" A brief candle burning, a bus wheel turning, a friend to share a lonesome time, and handshake and a sip of wine, say it loud let it ring, were all part of everything, the future, present and the past, Fly on Proud Bird, You're Free at Last... to the best of my Fryed memory

Thanks! I lived in an apartment complex. ( Middletown) in orange park, about a 10.min walk to the back of Jacksonville Memory Gardens. We used to hang out in the woods between our neighborhood and there. The mall was on the other side of that. Anyway, Mary Wilkerson was a building down for me. She had a white Fender amp she sang through, I actually got to jam out her house with her a few times Cool Lady. Man, I have so many stories from Back then. I got a Les Paul Studio from Don Watson. He was with them when they went to Mussel Sholes, Ala. I even did the exterior finish on his music store. He told me some cool stories...one I Particularly remember, Allen had 2 sisters, daughters of a local farmer hanging out... the father showed up w/ a shotgun... so Don sent Allen out and told the gals to hit the shower, then brought the father up to the roo.. I remember someone taking me by Shortie Medlocke's old place in Westside. And the song .38 did, Brickyard Road? Lots of crazy good times there. They closed it up years ago. Then build houses. Had a sweet waterway running there...
