Stop in for a cup of coffee

Deer huntin' buddy had a Aussie/Queensland mix, Patch was his name. Frisbee catcher to end all Frisbee catchers . Chewed them to pieces so buddy brought air brake diaphragms home from work in place of Frisbees, Made no difference to Patch  took him longer to destroy them though. Put the tail gate down on the '69 stepside Chevy say Pickup! Patch was in the truck. We headed up to the National forest one afternoon before sunset to look for a nice buck we had seen in the neighborhood previously. I happened to glance in the back of the truck and didn't see Patch. Buddy didn't seem too concerned.
Out of the corner of my eye I saw something odd behind the rear view mirror, hairy feet. "Brian, I found Patch. He's on the roof."

I got around 6 hours straight without Niquil. That counts as an all nighter for me!
Good Morning
Think i got 4 hours. Sore neck. Is better now. But mostly my brain wont shut off. Involuntary thinking…

Waiting to hear back from someone that wants a back glass I had on Marketplace. It's the one I got from the 74 Gold Duster I stripped. Might be better than what I have in mine, but mine isn't bad enough to justify swapping. He's supposed to come from Virginia on Sunday. I cleaned it up yesterday to be sure it's still good. Told him it has some scratches. Hope I didn't scare him off. Not a bad driver piece, but didn't want him driving that far expecting something better than what it is.

Did someone say they liked Christmas? Walked into Lowe’s last night and this is what I saw. Crap that’s a little early.

I traded my Marlin 30-30 lever gun straight across for a brand new Mossberg 500 20ga Youth Model. I liked my Marlin but after experimenting with pointy bullets in it and their superior performance over the normal 30-30, 1 in the chamber and 1 in the magazine just didn't do it for me. I found a 30-30 bolt gun at a gun show not long ago for next to nuthin' :D:D
I have an 1895 Marlin 45-70 Cattlesmens Tribute. Number 3 serial number, never fired. Still in factory packaging.

Tell us what really happened John, You two got into a tussle and she whipped you didn't she.

Morning, need to get post hole digger hooked to the tractor. Wife wants to change the fence around the top pasture to keep the deer out this winter.
Maybe after coffee.

Since we seem to be on a hound thread, this is what I woke up to this morning. This is the intersection where 100 pounds of dog 8 pounds of rabbit and a four inch PVC pipe meet. Rock head!

They sure don't understand how big they are vs the spaces they try to get into. Holley sometimes still thinks she can crawl under things like she did as a pup.

Gunner loved to sit in small cardboard boxes and chew them to shreds when he was a pup...

Three dogs I love to see on my yearly trip. Harley. Gunner. Holley. All great companions.

This giving the Fargo the once over thing is time consuming. Think i figured out why choke wasnt pulling open and loading up. Afb has a hot air port, and it was hooked to vacuum. I left it as it was. So it had vacuum on both sides of pull off piston. I might be able to cap the hot air port. M/T valve cover touches firewall. Had to adjust firewall. Coolant hoses needed re-routing. Fuel line needs re-routing. Plug wires need re-routing. Getting there. And a couple body add-ons.

Ugh... that's a penalty right there.
Menards was stocking the tree trimming shelves yesterday. Yep, it's a little early but if you want something, you had better get it early. They usually don't reorder holiday items.

Seems like as a kid the Christmas displays started around Thanksgiving. Then they came out right after Halloween. Been a good month since they went nuts with the Halloween sales displays. I guess as soon as that inventory thins out a little they start pushing it into a corner to get Christmas stuff out. And no, they don't restock anything seasonal. They get so much and want it gone.

She has been whipping up on me our whole life. She always has just one more gear than I do when we tussle. The poor rabbit got the ride of his life in the pipe. She rolled pushed clawed and bit the pipe all over the yard. It was a section of four inch I had laying along a fence row from a project. Rabbit nested inside and it was on. Poor rabbit had to have been dizzy, she rolled the pipe thirty yards easy. Being a welder we always grow Aloe for burns. I have been putting it on her snout but she would really prefer me to leave it alone.
