I dont like the cheesy spring clips/washers that half them on. Cant see why a threaded stud/nut wouldnt have worked?
Also a "fair bit" of outward flex when closing hood.
I drilled a cotter pin hole in each stud and use a spacer between it and the hinge. Allows me to push the hinge arm closer to the body and seems to to eliminate that outward flex being tighter.
