You'all are living a dream some can never achieve. Following closely, and sending a number 10 can of prayers for your safety on your adventure! Paul.

From the Flagstaff area, we moved on to Delores Colorado. Spent a week at a very nice Canp ground called "The Views" on hwy 184. From there we did the San Jaun Skyway. Which in my experience is the most beautiful hwy I've been on. A big loop that includes the town's of Telluride, Ridgeway,Ouray Silverton and also Durango Colorado.

Looks like y'all are having fun. I want to check out the Durango and Silverton one day.
I was disappointed in Telluride. I was expecting an old Cowboy, mining town. It was a yuppie Ski,Tourist Town. Now Silverton turned out pretty cool. What I Expected of Telluride. And you can take a steam train ride from Durango to Silverton!

Left Colorado and made our way back to New Mexico. Hit a bunch of Ancient Native American ruins.

Chapparal. That's indian for road runner.

Heres a must see for y'all. You need to check out the petroleum museum in Permian Basin Texas.

They have Jim Halls collection of Chapparal race cars on display and kept in running condition.

Telluride went Yuppy about 30 tears ago, not the same any more.

Good scenery is always in the far out country, seldom any in town!!
I have seen most of Co.... some extremely pretty scenery.
That was 25 years ago, but I never seen a state so damn hard to find a motel room!

Well to get back to the main point of our roadtrip, Theresa's son graduated Texas A&M on Aug 13. He finally got commissioned today . Although we couldn't be there for the commissing, we couldn't be more proud of him. (That's Eric in the middle)!

It makes you stop and think when you look back on those old ruins.
The walls look like common sand-stones from a river bed, I bet years ago when they were built, it was a very fertile farmland with lots of water, with rivers flowing thru there.
Vs what history has shown us with the plains Indians, which were more nomadic living in tents and moving around, probably trying to avoid the weather changes.

Catching the sunset in Southern new Mexico.

Try to get some mountain riding in tomorrow. Town of Silver City is up in the Mountains nearby. Few nights here in Truth or Consequence N.M. then on to the eastern swing to head back home!. We've been gone close to 2 months. Guys have been wanting parts!. Have a couple stops on the way home to possibly pickup some parts!. Not to mention the 67 Dart Gt project car I drug home just before we left on this trip.

Beautiful sunset! We plan on making a similar trip one day. Maybe we can get to hear about it over Catfish dinner at Willies BBQ sometime in the near future....lol. Are y'all making another pass thru Colorado on the way home?
