in 1971 the Challenger R/T only came in Hardtop model. No convertibles

I believe this particular car was being sold as having a dealer installed Hemi at Claude Short Dodge here in Santa Monica (closed now).

Nevertheless, the price offered was near Hemi convertible clone value. And it was a factory delivered base Challenger with a 383 4spd and purple/white. Which is very cool and valuable in its own right, even without the Hemi.

Cool car

I have a old poster some where that have a Hemi cuda and a Hemi Challenger both rag tops, must be 70's then. I will have to look for it.

Beautiful car. My daughter loves plumb crazy.

My dad picked up his ( now mine) 67 Dart Convertible from good old Claud Short.

Since you said "here in" i assume that's where you are now. Any chance you have any photos of the dealership from the 60s-70s

I have looked and seen those. City of Santa Monica wants like 65 bucks for an image from their site.

What i really want is an image like the upper right but with 60s cars.

My Grandfather had "The Fix It Shop" in Santa Monica, i think it was near 3rd st. on Whilshire or Arizona. The city eminant domained his shop in the early 70s to build a mall or something.
