For those that may not follow the thread Fred drives the heck out of his car! He even hauls dog treats!

Great looking car Fred, it sure was fun watching you build it. I am still envious of your hand made console! Hemi says hello, bring treats!
I know you been busy building a new home but hope to meet up soon.

Hi there Fred. Car is looking good, great to get them out to cruise. We're heading to Minot for races on Sat n Sun. Sounds like Canucks are locked out yet.

Hey Gary sounds like fun I'm not sure what's on the game plan for this weekend but I'll be there if I can.

View attachment 1715760697Been sometime since I posted anything but here she is all done at a car show with over 4,000 miles on her and only problem was I toasted my tranny after about 2,000 miles but was my fault I didn't have the kick down linkage set right. I drove her to Minneapolis and back this summer that is 1,000 miles in some real hot temps and no over heating. Front QA1 suspension is holding an alignment just fine. No exhaust leaks and the Gear Vendor overdrive has been working great. Had a few rattles but nothing serious and can't say enough good about the Blue Print engine, I love it, great power and holding a tune just fine.
I'm a happy camper and thanks all for your support in getting my first restoration on the road.
Absolutely beautiful car, Fred. You're an inspiration.

Would like to see yours on the road sometime soon.
I'm workin' on it when I can. The more I look the more there is to do. I gotta quit thinkin' 'good' is the enemy of 'perfect'.
And there comes a time when I have to quit planning and just get dirty.

I hear ya sometimes it's better to just dig in and stop thinking about it. You'll do good Buddy but your still young and things get in the way but you'll get it done.

6,000 miles on my car and these photos were taken today. And yes I clean it and try to keep it pretty and am really happy with it and yes I have flaws and yes I have areas with rock chips and bird **** stains and bug stains but I drive it and I am enjoying it a lot. Drive it 400 miles and takes me the next day to clean it but I'm retired and just crank up some old rock on the stereo and drink a beer and it's clean and ready for another 400 mile run.
Life is good.

6,500 miles later 7-24-22 she still looks good I had some bed liner come off the underside in a few small spots and 2 small spots in the rear lower 1/4 panels that show a bit of rust bubbling but nothing bad yet. The engine and running gear have been perfect so far and if I had to do my car again I would not hesitate in buying another Blue Print engine. Great engine and I'm very happy with it.
