Its alot of work but couldn't you swap the out put shaft and tail housing to the truck unit and then it would go in the a body...? In other words, the truck trans would work with an A body output shaft and tail housing ...

A bodies never came with a truck transmission so where would you find an output shaft and housing? The other thing is the 360 in the truck probably has the 11 in flywheel and bigger bellhousing than what the cars came with.
