I’m liking the flat black! Can we get your specs for the rear? Backspace and suspension mods?
So the wheels are 0 offset so I think the backspacing is something like 4½ in the back and 3½ in the front but don't quote me on that.. the rear is a b body 8¾ shortened to 55½ inches overall with Dr diff axles and front and rear disc brake kits (which I couldn't be happier dealing with him.. all good stuff ) I did move the leaf springs inboard to the frame rail, which was much easier to do than I thought and we'll worth it. On the rear I left the 3in studs with 1in wheel spacers to center the tired in the wheel well, that way if I decide to mini tub in the future I could fit a full 2 more inches in tire width, but would have to switch to 12in wide wheels of course. But we'll see.. these 275s are no match for the 440 and 3:91s

Nope, a 10" wheel with zero offset has 5.50" backspacing, and a 8" wheel with zero offset has 4.50" backspacing.

Great looking car. As,for color suggestions, what ever is under the hood now, as long as its not chevy semi-gloss black!

Hahaha.. funny you should say that! It's all in DP 90 but don't worry I'll be pulling the motor before painting it! But that's a story for another thread, let's see some more Wheel and Tire combo picks!

@Henchman What suspension you running on this? I love the stance.

Thank you, I love the stance too, it looks bad *** in person.
No suspension yet, it’s still in project mode.
That’s the front torsion bolts out and rear leafs removed.
It’s getting 4 link with a 9” soon, just have measure, cut and weld new bearing housings and have moser axles made.
The front will hopefully get drop spindles, if not, I’ll ditch the torsion bars and build some custom arms and use a set of qa1 coilovers I have laying around.

I wish I went with a little wider front tire but I bought the cheapest e bay tires I could just to get an idea of what to run.
I’m glad I went with the 50 series in the rear though.

It’s gorgeous! What color is the car? I want to do my 65 vert in a creamy white like that. But with a tan interior.

Thank You,
I’m not sure, it’s was this color when I bought it. The engine compartment is white so I assume that was the original color. I found a spray can that matches almost identical at auto zone in the touch up paint section. It’s one of those short cans that cost $13, it’s called Birmingham white. I really like the color on it as well, once I get the mechanical aspects sorted out, I plan to get the body and paint redone in the same color.

72 Dart, just curious what everyone is running for rims sizes for the front and rear, along with backspacing?

I would like 15"x6" rims if possible for the front and rear

A cruise and a few pics before snow season hit.
got our first snow yesterday.
It didn’t stick but the hills are covered.
Time for the vert to Hibernate for the winter and get new interior and potentially a new top.
also picked up a nice vintage air unit to install for improved heat and AC for those too hot summer days.
I plan to cruise coast to coast in a convertible, it’s been on my bucket list for decades...
