Is anyone running a Turbo Action shifter and using the OEM Shift Bracket on the transmission? OR - do you need to use the Turbo Action bracket for some reason? I can't tell by the package if the Turbo Action Bracket is a different length to match the throw/range of the shifter.

Not really confusing I think. The first part is gate alignment. Which would refer to shifter. Right? Your second part is the detent which refers to the shifter pawl. Or am I cyphering this wrong? In the end I think you should use the #70032 shift lever as outlined.

I took out my t/a shifter, in exchange for a ratchet, so I don't remember what arm I used. I would sure recommend that you at least try t/a's recommended part.
The nice thing about the cheetah is it can be changed to work with something different. I got a few parts from turbo action, and changed my reverse pattern 727 to a forward pattern powerglide.
