People getting defensive at car shows!

Isn't there a difference between "real" and original numbers matching?
I was at a cruise night and a man asked me if my car was a real 67 dart gt...I said "yes it's a real 67 dart gt console" car as apposed to a non gt car. Then he said well that's not the original engine and I said "you asked me if was real not if it was original". I then told him it was an "original" 273 car but that engine was long gone and replaced with the magnum that's in it now but it's still a real 67 gt. Tell me if I'm wrong. I wasn't trying to pass it off as original numbers matching. I just understood his question as not a cloned gt car.
Real and restored to original are 2 different things. It sounds like yours is a real GT car with a different engine. You weren't trying to pass it off as something it wasn't.
