Are people really that CLUELESS?

This goes for shop equipment as well. All the time I see lathes and milling machines for sale covered in shop dust and chips, with tooling left scattered randomly, like they were looking for something and then gave up. Then they stand back and take pictures.

I am of the opinion that it's in the seller's best interest to put their "best foot forward" and try to present whatever they're selling in the best light possible, but also be HONEST. Get your item as clean as you're willing to get it, then showcase the good AND the bad.
