So i drove my 68 GTS to work and then to my dads to put it away for winter storage, pulled into drive and turned around to back in the garage and this is what i did to it....im sure the neighbors could here what nice words came out of my mouth at that moment. Has anyone had work done by TLC restorations in milton, wisconsin ?? or Perfection Auto body in harvard,il? these two shops are close to me and both have good ratings . i've already went to 2 body shops and they dont want to fix it, said they only have workers that can replace bolt-on panels. lol so im looking for some place that can do a full quarter panel replacement near northern illinois. any help is great.

I'd repair that in a heartbeat. Way better repair than replacement. A real bummer non the less.

You can have that damage repaired no problem. Sorry to see your nice car banged up. Do you have Hagerty insurance? They will take care of you no problem.

Total Bummer Dude.
Sorry, must make you sick to your stomach to look at that.

But... it's a great car and can be fixed.
yep im sick about it ive had this car for 21 years 1968 383 4speed 3:23 8 3/4 had it restored in 1999 and been enjoying it ever snice

yep i have hagerty , already called them
just trying to find a place near me thank can be trusted to repair the damage

If you have insurance on the car, a good body man can make it look new again without replacing anything.

I have the same car QQ1 on blue 383 4-speed. Ours is unrestored and there is a reason I keep it that way. Stuff like this! Glad to hear you are covered by Hagerty they will make sure it is fixed right.

"I can fix that, my dad's a TV repairman, he's got all kinds of tools dude."
Sorry...for both the misfortune, and the quote.
but really, just buff it out

Dam, I really feel for u buddy. It makes me sick just to look at it. Can be repaired. I wouldn’t put a new quarter on unless it was cut out of a rust free parts car. Kim

back in 99 the car had quarter skins put on it really didnt need them but i bought the whole skin to use the lower sections but body guy had already cut to much out so he just did the whole skin, so i think to do it right it should have the whole quarter put on. right?

mine is LL1 Paint code

I am sorry for your misfortune. I wont type out the story about my neighbors boat. Suffice to say worse things happen. Only advise I have is get it in some shop somewhere now. Once the masses begin sliding around on ice and snow, all body shops will have plenty of the easier in and out type jobs to do. Good luck going forward ( and backing up ).

Sorry for your damage. :( I think I would call Ted Stephens ASAP, and see if he has or can get you a full AMD 68 Dart quarter panel. AMD discontinued some of the A body metal for a while, so they may be getting scarce.

I have a set of AMD 68 Dart 1/4 skins in the attic. They are pretty nice however that damage does not even come close to warranting panel replacement in my opinion.

Probably. Since it's been done before, that's how I'd fix it. You can say it could be fixed all day long, but the best way would be to put another skin on it. It'll have the least amount of filler.

STAY AWAY FROM TLC. HE IS A LIAR AND SCUM BAG. SMOKE AND MIRRORS. I am local and used to work at tlc. Rip is a clown and will hack your car and charge you out your back side to do it.

I do body and paint for a living in Janesville.
