Fair turnout. Most of the Roadkill cars were there. Didn’t see the MT cast in that they were in one of the buildings signing autographs. Most of the people lined up for autographs appeared to be spectators.

I had no idea it was on! Dang. Well, that’s what ya get for being super busy and freshly retired. I’d like to attend one of these things one day. As of now, I have nothing better to do… so to speak… LMAO!
It would be a pleasure to meet! Hell yea!

Just saw a gasser look '55 on the way to town 2 hours ago. Fenderwell headers, front end slightly raised, no straight axle though, 15x5s on the front 15x10s on the other end. Nice lookin' rod. '55s are a chink in my MOPAR armor for whatever reason .

What happened to the "Zip-Tie" drags ? Did they change the name or just start some different series?

Larry Henry’s New Yorker. Long time Chrysler employee. Instrumental in many of the Mopar racing endeavors. Passed away this year

Zip tie drags was affiliated with motortrend somehow and they (MT) didn’t want any part of it this year. Maybe covid? So David Frieburger put together basically the same exact event himself. Hence duct tape drags, not zip tie.

MT, like all corporates here tons of attorneys on retainer. Being a Cali based business I’m sure they are towing the party line. I’m sure they didn’t want the liabilities so they didn’t sponsor the event. Most likely they own the the Title Zip Tie Drags and didn’t want to be tied to the event. Commend Friedburg and company for taking this on.

Was a good time. I took way less photos this year than I have in the past Zip Tie Drag events. Ran the Dart a bunch of times. Here are my pictures.

I met a couple guys in a 1972 Swinger that are on FABO I believe. I am terrible with names and forgot them. Believe they were from CA. I also never grabbed a picture of the car unfortunately.

Met this guy and ended up next to him in the pit area. His name was Warren and had the Ramcharger and the 68 Valiant. Cool guy. We ran against each other one time.
