Soon, I will attempt to install a headliner. I have a set of bows (not sure if they are right, havent test fit them), and the clips that they set in. I read someplace about a wire or spring or some such that goes between the rear-most bow and the rear-most roof support. I can guarantee I dont have those - the headliner wasnt installed when we got the car - if I need them.

Aside from the headliner itself, are there any other parts that I need?

I seem to think there are "clips" that hold the edges on the side along the front and rear windows. Maybe 4 to 5 a side.

The wire (probably piano wire) keeps the first installed bow at the correct distance from the window as you pull it toward the other end.

The pair of wire hooks were also to keep the wires that ran over the top from sagging onto the headliner fabric in many cases

You will need those 2 bow retainers to anchor the rear bow. Aftermarket has for Mustang, E-body, etc.. I didn't see A-body in my quick search. Parts wanted add here might get them.

I have mine handy from a 65 Barracuda if you need measurements for these, they are basic wire and could be made in 2 minutes

First lets assume they are different lengths for different models. Then lets look at that little piece of wire. If its black it is likely hardened. Try to alter bends and it breaks. I don't know for sure about this particular part but... they used high carbon steel dang near everywhere else on these old girls.

It is hardened, but you can duplicate one and harden it yourself with a blowtorch and oil
