You might want an extra pair of hands when you drop and install the tank. I would remove the screws that attach the filler neck to the 1/4 panel, I have a Dart, there is a rubber grommet in the tank that the filler neck goes through, there may be another one in the trunk floor. It's just all easier with a second pair of hands. Get the gas out of the tank, lay under the car and unhook the straps and drop it on your stomach. You will probably habe to wiggle the filler tube out. Get a sending unit lock ring wrench, they are cheap and make removing the lock ring much easier.

Filler neck grommet for the tank
Gasket for filler neck at 1/4 panel
Maybe the trunk floor filler neck seal
New foam rubber cushion pad that goes between the tank and spare tire well
Ground strap from fuel line to sending unit
New fuel line
New sending unit sock/filter for the pick up tube
Replace filler neck?
The new replacement sending units are pretty much junk , their voltage rate is different than your orginal, that is why I recommend reconditioning your original sending unit.
