UPS and FED EX delivery drivers

-
The bastard FedEx drivers have been on strike here. At a time when 000s have lost their jobs due to covid...

Man, after reading some of these comments/experiences, I feel very lucky. I'm on a first name basis with my USPS guy, and the FedEx & UPS drivers are the same guys every day. So, maybe I've built a rapport, or maybe it's a regional thing, but my guys are great. When I'm home and out in the garage (which is 20 days out of the month), I walk out to meet them at their truck and take my package from them. Now, you definitely can tell some packages have had a "rough" journey, and since I frequently take the package right from their hands, it's clear that it wasn't from the last leg of the trip.

These packages face so many opportunities to be assaulted - going from truck to plane to conveyor belt, back on another truck - it's no wonder they get beat up. I'm not excusing the mishandling of our items, just saying maybe a little extra cushion in our boxes and some insurance is in the seller's best interest.

I guess I lucked out, the regular UPS guy is a Mopar guy. He saw my car in the garage, yelled sweet Mopar and since then my deliveries are left at the back door. He goes above and beyond

I don't have any problems with UPS, USPS, or FED-EX drivers. The Amazon Prime drivers seem to be OK, but putting a package in front of the screen door you have to open seems a bit ridiculous. My dog didn't like one of the Prime drivers... and he loves everyone else. I've learned to trust dogs over people and I haven't seen that driver again, so I'll bet they are no longer with Amazon.

I've had that happen too. I put a sign on the door asking them not to put packages in the step zone. Sometimes it works. No easy way to complain to amazon either.
I asked a Prime Driver if they ever see the delivery feedback and he chuckled and said 'no' so I stopped doing those.

My post #29. These guys get very well paid here for what is an unskilled job. Plus they are unionised.
Look at Britain & Ireland, the birth of unionism, basket economies.

Unions are where the slugs go that can't compete in the free market work place so they pay their masters in exchange for job security......losers
