how much driveshaft end clearance?

My local shop has me bottom out the slip yoke in the trans, then with the suspension loaded, measure center to center on the u-joints.

That's the way I did my last one years ago. I will call em tho & go from there. 1" sounds good with all of the agitation that will be going on. Thank you! RR
