So I have a lot of clothes. Not because I go shopping often , because I take good care of my clothes. Atleast my non work clothes.
So last night I went to a friend's for a birthday jam and party.( jam for the uninformed play music with other musicians.
So my friend is a character and we always have a blast.
I have an old shirt from my younger clubbing days. It is shiny and looks like a 70's disco shirt.
I decided it would be perfect for the occasion!
Lol it was a real crowd pleaser !.
I knew it would bring smiles and laughter
Many times I almost threw the shirt out along with a bunch of others. I just could not do it.
I have not worn the shirt or a few others for 20 or more years. I'm glad I did not throw it out !
I'm pretty sure there will pictures circulating now in my disco shirt.
People even wanted to buy it. Lol
What clothes or clothing can't you seem to throw out ?

Concert shirts/jerseys and a few other select items.

Every now and then I have an occasion to wear them.

2 years ago "1980's" theme party.
Most folks were dressed as period movie style stereotype/ caricatures.
I wore clothes I actually wore in the 80's- a Judas Priest jersey and a turbo trans-am nylon jacket over a "Merry Go Round" fleece with zippers.

Last Halloween- a bloody white lab coat over a Metallica "And Justice For All" concert T.

The only concert shirt from the 80's I have left is from the monsters of rock in 1988
Most of my concert tees were used until they fell off !
Wore them out like my Levi's 501 blues !

Yes I remember the Metallica shirt.
I had a dead Kennedys national punk f off shirt

I have sweatshirts that are about 25 years old. Just threw away a jacket with a worn out seam, not ripped, worn away, that had to be as old. I have new, never worn, shirts that I bought when I lost quite a bit of weight and then .............. well you know. :( Talking of maybe moving next year, a lot of stuff will be going away then, anyone want a 25 year old NOS shirt.

I used to wear concert shirts til they are done also, recently I buy the shirts and dont wear them LOL! Im thinking about wearing my Judas priest shirt that I picked up this year before the tour was cancelled. though...:)

I gave my kids all of my old race tees and fancy promoters jackets I wore back in the day.

My brown leather fringe jacket kinda like the one Hopper wore in Easy Rider, had it in the 60's, My ol Navy P coat

I still have a white leather coat from the 80's.
Lol
Don't have spandex anymore !
Not sure I'd admitt it if I did ?
I also have some red Levi's 501's

All my clothes turn into work clothes that get classified into what kind of work I'm doing. They last as work clothes longer than good clean clothes because I work in my good club clothes & they turn into work clothes that ....(as stated above) LOL, Made myself laugh !

I'll Never get rid of my black riding Leather, even if I don't need it. When I was younger, living in Jacksonville, I had an ol P coat. Warm as could be! Lil heavy, but who cares

I had the white leather jacket in high school but no spandex LOL I do remember some parachute pants...
But not the kind like MC Hammer big and baggy like super tight ones with lots of pockets LOL... Grade school was Bell bottom jeans... I still wear button fly 501s.. and support my Alice Cooper for President t-shirt from 2016 and my Judas priest shirt from a couple years ago...

Won't ever get rid of this one...The guy who does the artwork for the Mopar Alley show shirts did this for me back in 1983...Traded a Dart 273 four barrel air cleaner for it.

My mom was having a yard sale a few years ago, because she was moving. I stop by and I see this REAL nice leopard print coat, that goes all the way to the ground. Think she had 10 bucks on it. It’s a heavy, well made coat, nice thick cozy liner. I try it on jokingly, I ended up taking it home. It was just too nice to let it go at that price. I wear it on Halloween, and even sometimes to the grocery store if I want to attract attention. LOL. Everyone loves it.

Let's see it...

My kid just wore my USMC sweatshirt to high school. He asked how old it was, I told him 1986! I still got a pair of green issue wool socks from that time period.
