Thinking about changing out the hose clamps on my 1965 Dart from the screw type to the single wire hose clamps. Have been searching on the net but have not been able to locate a source. Can anyone give me some suggestions as to where I can buy them?

Definitely get the correct pliers, otherwise they tend to fly around.

Yea they are beaoch to put on without them. I struggled for hours trying to use pliers and vice grips and finally was digging around my tool box and found a old set of hog ring pliers that where my grandfathers they worked. I highly recommend buying the right pliers

Wow they are sold by almost every Mopar parts supplier on the planet.

Thanks for the help, will check out Mancini out. The pliers are a must have. Remember busting many a knuckle trying to get clamps off with a pair of slip-joint pliers!!!

Mega Parts. Not sure who makes the pliers, a must. Mine are KD, are they still in business? Major tool suppliers sure have them.

I was just thinking about pliers the other day. The OMC outboards all use the darn things. That is one tool I've never owned, and have NEVER seen them at a thrift or garage sale

I have 2 original ones from Lynch Road Assembly plant. There were 2 types. Thanks Grandpa. :)

Snap On slip joint corbin clamp pliers. Medium sized, works great on radiator and heater hose size clamps. This one was $12 on feebay.

Badass! The spring clamp style offer superior clamping over a wide range of temperatures. Look up the shrink wrap style hose clamps (plastic rings you heat and they shrink on, one time use only) and they have a graph on what clamp loads do when they get hot.

The traditional worm gear clamp sucks at operating temp! Corbin clamp load is uniform throughout the operating range.

There are several types of Corbin pliers on ebay. My old KD type has two different sized grooves and turnable heads, which I find very useful for placing or removing hose clamps.

The hose clamp pliers pictures I promised to take. The silver ones say Diamond KC 18 and then a horseshoe logo after that. They are original factory pliers. The wire band around the silver one is the key to everything. Slide the wire down around the handles and it stays in place until you release it.
