That is my ring tone.

That was going to be the name of my shop.
Blackbettey racing but We chose Blackheart Racing instead.

That is strange.

this got me thinking, and rather then muddy up princess' thread i figured id start one of my own

so here are my ringtones

#1 the general (this is all calls which are not assigned a special one)

#2 alarms (i originally had this one as #1 but it was just a little too loud, but perfect to wake me up)

#3, the wifey
this one need a little bit of a backstory since i doubt to many people here are familiar with the band
it is one of my favorite bands and most of their songs sound a little like metallica
the wife does not like metal or rock, but she does like this song, i guess its kind of like metallicas "hero of the day" (or nothing else matters if you like that one, i really dont)

since the band at our wedding consisted of friends of ours who were all metalheads they had no problem playing this song for us

#4 my boy
one of his favorite movies is a Kevin James flick called "here comes the boom"
its about a teacher who becomes a martial arts fighter to raise money for the music program in his school...pretty good flick actually, and it doesnt hurt that the main character is a Dutch guy
by a strange coincidence, the theme song is by POD, a band i used to listen too when i was younger

#5 this one cracks me up, this is the ringtone for my girl, when she calls the wifes phone

#6 same girl, but when she calls me

https://youtu.be/268C3N2dDYk

almost forgot, this one hasnt been used in a while, but ill include it anyway
this one was for her mom
the story goes as follows, i got this cow roping song stuck in my head a while ago and i got to singing it
well, somewhere in the chorus it says "im allready there"
and as im singing it, i hear the wife call out from the kitchen "what a liar, he is no where near there"
so i said "maybe hes simply got alzheimers and forgot he isnt?"

now, at this time, her mom had alzheimers and we counted it once, one day she called my wife over 120 times

so i made that her ringtone

https://youtu.be/qJEP5sWuDi8

so there you have it, my list of ringtones
(its surprisingly easy once you get the hang off it, on these newer devices at least)

I had the Airwolf theme songs for a while.

Man I loved that show.

Star Trek TOS communicator for the ultimate win.

It surprises me that you use to listen to POD lol they were one of my favorites in high school I saw them live a few times. I was in a rock bad in high school and we did alot if covers from POD. We did Southtown, bullet the blue sky (which was a U2 song that pod covered) boom and a couple more we also covered alot of other stuff. We sucked but it was alot of fun. We got to open for some really cool bands at a couple live shows. My older brother is really good and his band is really good we opened for then one time that was alot of fun.

The first slide I ever learned was the Bullet The Blue Sky lead.

Did not know POD covered it.

I'll have to go find it, now.

HA!
i used to watch that all the time
up until now, i have not be able to find anyone else who even knows the show

ever seen this one too then?

growing up i listened to a lot of metal, some punk, and i guess what you would call nu-metal

then i became a christian and dabbled in what would be marketed as christian rock
still not sure how i feel about it, but thats a discussion for another day

thats when i started listening to POD, evanescence, tourniquet, saviour machine, that kind of stuff

on a side note...are you familiar with the evanescence song called tourniquet?

its actually a toned down cover of song by a band called soul embraced (almost feels like the acoustic version) of the original

anyway, me and my buddies would get together and jam out
we would play the music like soul embraced and have my wife sing the way Amy lee does, now that sounded awesome

(here is the original)

Check out the acoustical album Demon Hunter put out. I love it. My wife and kids do, too. My son loves Skillet!!!! Theocracy is good too, along with Whitecross.

I saw POD with Creed and Sevendust around 2002 IIRC.

one of my buddies (the one who played the guitar at my wedding) had a favorite saying:

this happens to me all the time, i tell people i like christian metal, and then they go "like creed"?

YES! exactly like creed
only christian
and metal

Is that the wife? Very talented!!

I don't have a cellphone;(and I never will) but if I did, it would ring just like my land line.
ButYano, the one good thing to come out of covid is that I don't get bombarded in the restaurants any more by everybody's favorite stinking ringers........ cuz as a non-vaxer, I can't go into a restaurant anymore. No skin off my nose cuz my wife of 44 years is a darn good cook, even if the variety might not be there........

I have this set as the ringer, at 30 seconds into the song on the first drop.

My morning alarm

When work calls

General ring tone:

My younger son:

My older son:

My wife:

My wife's is because of her car (not a super stock or brand new, but it is a red Dodge):

No one cares what nationality it is when it's on the speakers pumping the heart pacing bass.
What you posted there, sounds great on the big woofer, rattles the duct work.

I can't wait to put a system in the dart and rattle the deck lid :p

Thats one of my old favorites!

Now "Hot for teacher" sounds like a cam!

You would never hear a radio in the dart. Altho pops has put a lot of dynamat in it attempting to make it "better".

Edit- i once had a guy at the gas station ask me. "WHATS WRONG WITH YOUR CAR?"

I Said, nothing why?

Him, I dosen't sound good. You sure its ok...

:rofl::steering:

I have a goat sound on my notifications and everyone laughs. The middle eastern fellas eyes open wide and look around.
