i have a 71 dart i want to put disc brakes on.can anybody tell me what others models would work on this conversion.any help wouls be appreciated

1965-1972 Dart, Demon, Duster, Valiant, Scamp, and '65-'69 Barracuda are direct bolt-ons.
'73-'76 A bodies discs work also, but require use of the '73 and up upper control arm (among other tidbits) and will change your bolt pattern to 5x4.5".
'76 F/M/J body brakes will work also (edit: meant to say '76 and up), with same caveats as '73 and up A body discs (must also use late A upper control arms with the large ball joint).
Go to the "Brakes for your Classic Mopar" section of the forum and do a search. Hundreds of threads on this.

We put 73 e-body brakes on my dads 72 Dart over 10 yrs ago, works great, no issues at all. Used 73 A-body UCAs.

professor is that the 76 only year for f m and j cars

Oops, meant to say '76 and later F/M/J. I'll fix that in my post.
And as someone else pointed out, some later B & E body stuff used the same spindles/brakes as the late A body parts, but you still need to use the large ball joint late A body upper control arms with them. I'm not sure which years it applies to for the B & Es. I just speak A body fluently, and only pigeon B & E body...

using the SSBC kit means you can keep your current stuff including the drum brake spindles

decent article but the spindle caveat is total BS.

FMJ's work fine and in some ranges are superior to the "factory engineered" A body spindles.

I would swear that somebody posted a whole new set up in the box on here within the last week or so

MBM carries the 73-up A/E factory disc setup.
73-78 B spindles are 3/8" taller than the rest.
