not sure about shipping...at one time it was $25 per order, thought about rods, crank, pistons. well, you know the story, I had money for shipping.

If your fortunate to have a block that will torque plate hone back to round, the standard bores were a little under $400 for the last ones I looked at. After seeing what a set of the cheap Eagle I-Beam rods with a set of Icon pistons can stand in a 4 inch stroke small block, I wouldn't at all be afraid of going that route.

.320"? not sure, may have it my notes somewhere when I talked with a rep. more interested that they could be cut flat, and a whole lot lighter than the std flat tops.

Weird second ad notes rod modification
Wonder if jegs ad missed that ?
Those are both the same Icon slugs, & the link points out a fact, they are designed for LA engines. You don't have to look hard at an LA vs Mag to see/understand the difference. Mopar touted and bragged about the differences & advances, all learned from racing & engineered to last. What is scary is that I don't see the support for the Mag in general, even valvetrain stuff is basic from major companies. It was like pulling teeth to find stuff on Summit's site when I was looking for retainers & valve springs for them. I know, Hughes etc., but there should be a specific Mag piston listed because the chamber ain't no how no ways the same dome compatible, OR balance........

Valve train wise, they hoodwinked us with pricey “Magnum” rockers when cheap *** Chevy stuff works fine.

The shorter deck of the Magnum is your heads up to piston selection and head gasket thickness.

All the LA tricks work on the Magnum block.
The only current available head is from Edelbrock.
Other used heads will appear from time to time.

Intakes currently available are limited the Edelbrock RPM, the Indy single plane race intake, and the crap chink knock offs.

Building a powerful Magnum using Magnum only heads is possible. Super powerful Magnum designed heads are not available. Step up to the W series for that endeavor.

So even with weight issue - this piston in a properly headed LA 360 with strong internals could be a powerful combination !!!

More weight means a slower climb up the rpm scale.
Also stress on the rods.

There is no "weight issue", you've got forged slugs good for well over 11:1 that weigh 20 grams LESS than stock slugs, & should easy to rebalance the crank taking weight off...these simply weren't meant for Magnums plain & simple.....

I have an old set of Arias 12.5:1 360 +030 forged pistons on the shelf I’ve been holding on to for a long time. Maybe one day these will get put to good use.
