I'm going to place my '68 Dart four-door on four jack stands to allow for brake and suspension work. What is the best location for the jack stands?

Under the car....couldn't resist.

I put mine on the front K-member bolt heads up front (hook one of the jack stand saddle horns just behind the big bolt head), and on the frame just in front of the front spring mounting point in the rear.
 
The frame rails. The front right under the driver door and the rear right by the forward spring purch. Can also go forward by K frame
 
Refer to the factory service manual.
There is a diagram.

ALSO, there is a minimum surface area for the lift points.
