Super bummed. New motor. Bad bearings?
If its a stroker crank with a chamfer , its easy to get the top and bottom rod bearings and or rods mixed up so that the rod and or bearings are riding on the chamfer , will cause issues similar to what you are seeing.

This was my first thought too.
I seriously hope this isn't the case. That might mean the crank is toast.
