The grill in the black ‘79 is a nice looking piece. I see a lot less damage on it than most others. That’s a 1979 and 1980 only core support, and both years could be ordered with either quad headlight or round headlight grilles. Hoods from the 1972-1980 trucks interchange without issues, being they were designed for the same front fenders and core support height. There may be some differences in hood latches, I don’t remember the details there To the best of my knowledge, grill mountings were different from 1972-1976 models, 1978-1978, and I believe the ‘79 & ‘80 had a different core support for round or quad headlight models.
