Finally getting to it!!! 1970 Duster 340

-
We're getting ready to roll out of town tomorrow. Everything is loaded up and the Duster is secure. I had to rent a truck for the trip because my Dodge minivan wasn't up to the task. I'll post pics as things unfold.

Thanks for the kind words everybody. My wife and I made the trip down to Talladega relatively unscathed. I had a little run in with my trailer and a concrete post at a gas pump. Ugh! Fortunately, no functional issues with the trailer and the Duster was not damaged.
We’ve having a great time and have met wonderful fellow Mopar folks. My car was the first parked in the display hall on Thursday. There are some truly amazing Mopars and other makes of cars on display. I’m honored to be invited to this show and we’re enjoying every moment of the experience. I’ll try to post more pics from tomorrow.

My wife, Nora, and I made it back to PA without issue in the wee hours of the morning today. We rolled up the house at 5AM after 14 hours on the road. We had a great time and met some wonderful Mopar people. I even got autographs from Red Farmer and Bobby and Donnie Allison! I don't follow NASCAR but it was an honor to meet and talk with these legends.
Since we were introducing the all new Rapid Transit System for 1970, Nora and decided to have fun and dress the part. Tim Wellborn came to the show and sat down and talked to us for quite a while. He contributed a 1971 Hemi 'Cuda survivor and a 1969 Charger Daytona to the show. What a down to earth guy! We talked like we were friends for years.
We couldn't have asked for a nicer experience. I hope that we get a chance to this again next year. Just thought I would throw in a couple non-A body cars for your enjoyment
