I have a new early R series racing block. It’s new and still in the shipping crate. I purchased it years ago and can’t complete the project. I’m posting it here so hopefully, it will find a new home with someone that needs it. These are rare 4 bolt blocks. This one is untouched. I'm asking for $1800 OBO plus shipping. This one is hard to find and price. I think my price is low, But I'm willing to negotiate. My main goal is to find a buyer and get it in the hands of the right person. Treat me fairly and I will do the same. If you think the price is high or low, let me know. But, help me find a buyer for this part, please.

I have more information:
There are some additional castings, stampings, a paint pen, and a marker on the front.
R1 (cast into the block)
ST (silver paint)
#191 (black marker)
ST
G 167 (stamped into the block)
These markings can be seen in the second picture( middle) in the new group of 3 posted today a short time ago. Anyone that can decode this, please do!

I measured several things and have a handful more pictures to post. If you know how to tell the difference between 48 and 59 degrees, please share it. I can't really tell. The cylinders appear to measure 45 to 48 degrees offset from the pan rail. I don't have a tool to measure the spread between the cylinders, but I might go get something at Lowes.

Crank Journal is 2.665 in (raw)
Cam bore is 57.82 mm (raw)
Cylinder bore is 3.966 (raw)
Deck Height is 9.2 (raw)

Guys,
It looks like all of you have been busy. This is what I've seen this morning. I didn't know any way to let everyone know, and I would defer to the website people if I'm wrong. I looked down the list of messages in my inbox to figure this out.

I'm sorry guys. I'm in a super stressful, super busy situation, because I'm injured and I have to move, plus I have a business and car projects.

So, I'm just getting back to this today. It looks like there are 4 people who said they would buy this part and I found these in my inbox to create this message. I have ranked them by the time the message came in and I will sell it to them in that order for asking price plus shipping. Again I'm trying to get it into the right hands and do not want to cause any bad feelings.

NOTE: Update!
FYI: cpearce was the first to show interest. He wanted to buy it if it met certain specifics regarding the final identification and should probably have first option.
0.5) cpearce showed interest with questions
1) richit "I'll buy it!"
2) phreakish "dropped out"
3) 68cuda416 "I'll buy it!"
4) rocket "I'll buy it!"
5) mstall showed interest with questions

I hope this is accurate and I don't know the best next step here. I don't know if I post my number or email address or what. I can PM each of the people in order with that info.
HELP!

Thanks,
Mark

One more thing. I'm going to go out and get more pictures and flip this thing over so I can give you all more information and settle a few looming questions. It is bolted down to the shipping caddy. Why don't you all wait for the updated info later today?

If I'm wrong on the "Sale" order or the person's interest, please let me know. I will reorder or drop names.

I can't recall right now. You'll have to look it up. If I posted a response, I'd be guessing. That part number is all you need when you find a listing breakdown. I think it is a 59 non-siamese and the roller cam bearing. These blocks also have extra head bolt nodules along the outer deck surface. If you dig around you can find that information. I'm happy to measure or take more pictures. Untouched means never bored or honed, raw cylinders, factory shipped.

Information I found says 9.2" deck, 3.990" bore, 50mm camshaft bore, 48 degree lifter angle. However, the information I found on this same part number says siamese bore, which from one shot this one appears not to be. Any chance for a picture through a freeze plug so buyers can know exactly what it is? As we all know, there were often more than one version of the same part number with Mopar Performance.

From another member a while back who was selling there block;

Mopar R1 block
Uncut tall deck block
4.030 bore
48' degree lifters
4 bolt mains
Brand new cam bearings in box
Bushed lifter bores
Extra head bolts milled off
P4532435

I would like to see some pics of the cam tunnel as well as the lifter valley, if its 59* tall deck { if ya don't mind measuring] I may be interested in your block, Thanks a lot Red B.

Yes. I will get you a closeup inside the freeze plug. It is NOT a siamese block. You can see a very slight gap between the cylinders.

This information is all wrong for my block. So, the guys that said it could be lots of variations were right.

I had sent you a pm very early in this thread, if this is a 59 degree block, standard cam journal, 340 main, tall deck, I would like to discuss further with you please. Please check your inbox for times, I do not wish to snake anybody else on this item. If someone is ahead of me they should have the opportunity.

Hello,
Yes, I found that to be the case and I agree with you. I found that after I made my post when I went back through all the messages. I wasn't exactly sure how to handle it because you asked for more info and the others said they'll buy it. I was willing to go back and put that in. However, it appears that it won't be what you want. I have considered going back to post that info but decided to wait until the measurements were made and see if it would work for you.
If you go look now it appears that it doesn't meet your expectations. It is not a tall block. How can we figure out the question of 48 or 59 degrees? I did try to measure cylinder offset, but I believe it is the angle the cylinders separate from each other.
Mark

Take a picture of the lifter valley and you can tell if it’s 48 or 59 degrees.

I have posted a picture of the valley now and I'm looking for information on how we can verify the 48 or 59 degree question.
Please revisit the listing and look over my new information.

Thanks very much for the update, it is appreciated! Just to clarify, the measurement from crank centerline to cylinder head deck is 9.2", not 9.6"? If indeed a 9.2 I am out of the running.

My guess is 48° (but I am no expert)
