Darn. I got kind of excited. I have read about the new all electric Mustangs, and I have to admit that they interest me. I was thinking about buying one. NOT!

An EV mustang coupe would be one thing but that swollen pig they call an SUV or cross over thing is a whole other can of sardines.
 
Any mustang gurus know what year of mustang is supposed to be depicted here ?? Says 5.0 on the side, I didn't know mustangs newer than 2010 had 5.0s ????

Oh yeah...The famous "Coyote" is a 5.0 with 4 valves per cylinder. Quite a busy and complicated engine. The bigger one with the flat plane crank is a mean sounding engine!
 
If I were to get a newer car I'd rather go with a mustang like that over a Mercedes E class coupe that my dad is pushing.

You can actually modify and work with a mustang.

I bet the valiant is more reliable than them all in the next 50 years and best of all, no speeding tickets with that leaning tower of power. :usflag::usflag::usflag::usflag:

So it's like the 90s again with the 4.6 series but with the 5.0 now...

I remember getting involved with the 4.6 quad cam and that was a beautiful sounding engine but problematic as they aged
 
Gotta agree. I thought, "She would never do that." Now having a 68 Valiant 4 door converted to an all electric car, maybe.
Nah, id rather lower the compression and run it on canola oil when they make gas unavailable to the citizens than run a battery that can go up in flames at any moment in a thermal runaway episode
 
The current generation is back to 5.0 displacement I believe.
I have not seen you around the halls of fabo for awhile @plymouth67 ..... kinda strange you pop up today because I was thinking about you when I was at Walmart buying the mustang because In the same wally Mart visit look what else I found. :thumbsup:

I would say that looks like a 2017 or so model. The 5.0 Coyote is a great motor, free revving and smooth, current models are making 460 to 480 horsepower in the Mustang, where the flat plane crankshaft 5.2 in the GT350 were rated at 526 naturally aspirated horses, the supercharged version in today's GT500 pumps out 760 horses using a cross plane crankshaft.

I was going to say it looked like a '16 or so. My problem with them is every one of them around here sounds the exact same, you can tell from a mile away what it is. They must have got a deal on bulk exhaust systems lol

They sound like crap. Like they're running on 7 cylinders.
Don't know why Ford called that engine a Coyote with the history of the Roadrunner cartoons. That would the last name I'd call it.
